Our next meeting will be taking December 15, at 7pm and will again gather at the Skylight Diner at 402 West 34th street between 9th and 10th avenue at 7pm.

This group will be led by Olga and she looks forward to seeing those who can make it. Olga has been living in NYC for almost 13 years. In our supportive group we will share what is working and explore what we might need to do differently. We will try to determine what part of our character gets in the way of moving forward. Collectively, we want to help people outgrow their limited capacity for understanding and develop their imagination to relieve stress and grow personally.

Not interacting with co-workers or friends the way you would like?
Having trouble sticking to your routine?
Feeling you confidence waiver at times?

What gets in the way?

We all have a positive voice inside which propels us toward reaching our objectives, but it is a mystery as to why negative feelings sometimes creep in to shake our confidence or steer us away from that which may be helpful to us.

What happened along the way to change our initial good intentions?
What is the conflict between our personal objectives and the outside world?

The impediments are usually on the unconscious level and all the interpersonal techniques, cognitive practices, or mantras from self help books will usually not stem the tide. It is understanding the emotions which determine what words will stick and what words fly right past us. And it is the emotions which help determine how and why we do not reach our goals. A richer understanding of the person's emotional life can facilitate a deeper discussion about his or her goals and the result is a fuller grasp of the roadblocks obstructing our goals.

In our supportive group we will share what is working and explore what we might need to do differently. What gets in the way of your goals?
Are there situations you wished you handled differently?
Why do others succeed where I might fail?

In our group we will discuss situations that come up in our lives and try to get more in touch with unconscious impulses which drive conscious actions. Collectively we want to help people outgrow their limited capacity for understanding and grow imaginative tools to alleviate stress and grow happiness.
