I like to know how things work, and there's no mystery more fascinating in that regard than the brain and consciousness. I have some ideas about that mystery and actively seek new knowledge to integrate with the rest of what's known to science.
Our own brains are so near to us, yet so far from understanding. How can this mystery of consciousness arise from its structure and functioning?
My main interests relate to how the brain and consciousness make sense in terms of Nexus Theory, because I am presently working to test the theory experimentally (see link below). It is the only theory of consciousness presently capable of being so tested.
The best meetups are those where the group achieves a kind of shared consciousness and everyone is on the same wavelength. Surprising paradigm shifts can happen under those circumstances, and I love learning every new thing I can about the brain and consciousness. People interested in how their own brains work to make them who they are, they are the coolest in the world and I treasure the opportunity to meet and get to know you. Let's talk!
If you are interested in discussing consciousness we have a local member Discussions above and an international discussion about consciousness on Facebook's Brain And Consciousness Group at http://www.facebook.com/groups/BrainAndConsciousness (sorry the website won't allow a link in this Form field but you can cut and paste it).
"Nexus Theory is how I think our consciousness works, but until and unless it remains to be scientifically proven, I am open to all theories and concepts about consciousness. "
Thank you for your interest all you Group members, I love you all!
Hi in these difficult times, bartering is a fantastic solution to saving your cash on everyday purchases. I wanted to invite you to a breakfast meetup for this Thursday morning 9 am in Culver City. We'll introduce some proven methods of trading in a cashless marketplace. Look forward to seeing you there.
