The Emotional Literacy Movement
|
Welcome. Emotional Literacy is the ability to recognise, understand and appropriately express emotions. By discussing and understanding Emotional Literacy we raise awareness of ourselves and of others. We improve our communication, relationships with others and ourselves. And it is FUN! Everybody is welcome! The group is open friendly discussion and we have a new EL key concept to discuss at each meeting. Dr Claude Steiner created Emotional Literacy 25 years ago in the United States. He distinguishes between Emotional Intelligence that Emotional Literacy is heart centred and offers a love centred approach to Emotional Intelligence. This approach is based on Transactional Analysis as the main component is giving and receiving strokes. 1. Knowing what feelings we have, how strongly and why.

The Drama Triangle was created by Dr Steven Karpman an Assoc Prof of Psychiatry in California. It is a powerful tool for the analysis of psychological games.
Psychological games are played by everyone - in families, in intimate relationships, organisations and in cultures.
Dr Karpman will be visiting Sydney this summer and will be holding workshops around Australia. Read more
